Of the 68 posts, 7 are reserved for PwBD candidates (1 Professor, 1 Additional Professor, 2 Associate Professor, 3 Assistant Professor). Two corrigenda have been issued revising the reservation and eligibility details for the Trauma & Emergency Medicine department only — the application deadline of 13 October 2026 remains unchanged.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold MBBS with a postgraduate medical degree (MD/MS) recognised by the NMC, or DM/MCh for super-specialty departments, along with the requisite teaching/research experience as per National Medical Commission (NMC) norms:

• Professor: 14 years post-qualification teaching experience (11–12 years for super-specialty courses); maximum age 58 years
• Additional Professor: 10 years experience (7–8 years super-specialty); maximum age 58 years
• Associate Professor: 6 years experience (3–4 years super-specialty); maximum age 50 years
• Assistant Professor: 3 years experience (0–1 year super-specialty); maximum age 50 years

Age relaxation: SC/ST candidates get 5 years, OBC candidates get 3 years, PwBD candidates get 5 years, and Government servants/Ex-servicemen get 5 years relaxation as per rules.

• PwBD candidates and retired faculty applying on contract/deputation: Exempted

How to Apply

1. Fill the online application through the official Google Form link available on the AIIMS Gorakhpur website.
2. Upload the filled application, Annexure-A (candidate brief) and Annexure-B (PPT presentation) along with educational, experience and registration certificates.
3. Take a signed physical printout of the application along with self-attested documents and send it by Speed Post/Registered Post so that it reaches the Recruitment Cell, AIIMS Gorakhpur, Administrative Block, Kunraghat, Gorakhpur – 273008 on or before 13 October 2026.
4. Pay the application fee online as per category.
