GSSSB Work Assistant Recruitment 2026: The Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB) has released its official notification for GSSSB Work Assistant (Class-3) Recruitment 2026 (Advt. No. 461/202627), inviting online applications for 1,663 Work Assistant posts. Online applications are open from 15 October 2026, and the last date to apply is 29 October 2026.

Vacancy Details (Category-wise)

Of the total vacancies, 548 posts are reserved for women candidates, 113 for Divyang (differently-abled) candidates, and 155 for ex-servicemen.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must hold a Diploma in Civil Engineering from the Technical Examination Board or a recognised university/institution in India, along with basic computer application knowledge and adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi. Note: candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering are not eligible for this post.

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 18 and 33 years of age as on 29 October 2026. Age relaxation of 5 years is available for General Female and Reserved Male candidates (up to 38 years), and ex-servicemen get their service period plus 3 years’ relaxation.

Application Fee

• General (Unreserved): ₹500
• Reserved categories (Female, SEBC, SC, ST, EWS, Divyang, Ex-servicemen): ₹400

The fee is refunded to candidates who actually appear for the examination.

Selection Process

Selection is through a written examination in MCQ (OMR/CBRT) format of 3 hours, with negative marking of 1/4 mark per wrong answer. Candidates must score a minimum of 40% in both parts to qualify.
