ISRO URSC Recruitment 2026: The U R Rao Satellite Centre (URSC), ISRO’s satellite design and development centre in Bengaluru, has released Advertisement No. URSC:04:2026 dated 24.10.2026 for 61 posts of Technician-B and Light/Heavy Vehicle Driver-A / Staff Car Driver-A. Vacancy Details

Technician-B trade-wise split: Electronics Mechanic/Technician Power Electronics Systems 24, Fitter 8, Electrician 4, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (R&AC) 5, Turner 1, Machinist 2, Motor Vehicle Mechanic 1, Electroplater 1.

Age Limit (as on 13.11.2026)

18 to 35 years. Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (against reserved vacancies), plus other relaxations as per Government of India rules for PwBD and Ex-Servicemen candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

• Technician-B: SSLC/Matriculation plus ITI/NTC/NAC certificate in the relevant trade from NCVT.
• Light Vehicle Driver-A / Staff Car Driver-A: SSLC/Matriculation, 3 years’ experience as a light vehicle driver, and a valid light vehicle driving licence.
• Heavy Vehicle Driver-A: SSLC/Matriculation or equivalent, 5 years’ driving experience (minimum 3 years on heavy vehicles), a valid HVD licence, and a Public Service Badge where applicable.

Pay Scale

• Technician-B (Level 3): ₹21,700 per month plus admissible allowances.
• Light Vehicle Driver-A / Staff Car Driver-A / Heavy Vehicle Driver-A (Level 2): ₹19,900 per month plus admissible allowances.

Application Fee

₹500 is charged at the time of application, of which ₹400 is refunded only to candidates who appear for the written test (net non-refundable fee: ₹100). Women, SC/ST, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen candidates get a full refund. Payment is accepted online only, via the Bharatkosh portal/payment gateway (net banking, debit/credit card or UPI).

Selection Process

• Technician-B: Written test (80 MCQs, 1.5 hours, 100 marks, negative marking) followed by a Skill Test (100 marks). Shortlisting for the skill test is 1:5.
• Driver posts: Written test (100 MCQs, 2 hours covering Motor Vehicles Act, English, Arithmetic and General Knowledge) followed by a Driving Skill Test (100 marks, 60 required to qualify). Shortlisting for the skill test is 1:10.

How to Apply

1. Visit the official ISRO website isro.gov.in or the URSC website ursc.gov.in and open the recruitment section.
2. Register online between 24.10.2026 (5:00 PM) and 13.11.2026 (11:55 PM).
3. Fill in the application form, upload photo, signature and relevant certificates, and pay the fee online.
4. Submit the form and keep a printout. Admit cards and call letters will be sent only by email, so enter a correct and active email ID.
