SWR GDCE Recruitment 2026: Railway Recruitment Cell, South Western Railway (Hubballi) has published General Departmental Competitive Examination (GDCE) Notification No. 01/2026 dated 28.10.2026 for 258 posts – 247 Goods Train Manager (erstwhile Goods Guard) and 11 Junior Engineer posts. Only regular serving employees of SWR and RWF/Yelahanka can apply online from 9 November to 8 December 2026 (11:59 PM). There is no application fee.

Educational Qualification

• Goods Train Manager: Degree from a recognised university or equivalent (Medical A2).
• JE / Bridge and JE / P.Way: 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering or B.Sc. in Civil Engineering of 3 years, or a combination of any sub-stream of basic Civil Engineering streams (Medical A3).
• JE / Mechanical Workshop: 3-year Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Manufacturing / Mechatronics / Industrial / Machining / Instrumentation & Control / Tools & Machining / Tools & Die Making / Automobile / Production Engineering, or a combination of sub-streams (Medical C1).
• JE / S&T / Signal: 3-year Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / IT / Communication / Computer Science / Computer Engineering, or a combination of sub-streams (Medical A3).
• The qualification must be held on the date of notification and be entered in the Service Register / HRMS.
