NLC India Apprentice Recruitment 2026: NLC India Limited (NLCIL), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Coal, has released Advt. No. L&DC/04/2026 dated 20.10.2026 inviting online applications for engagement of ITI-Trade and Graduate (Non-Engineering) Apprentices at its Neyveli and RO-Chennai units. A total of 1,067 apprenticeship training slots are on offer – 700 Trade (ITI) slots and 367 Graduate (Non-Engineering) slots. Only candidates hailing from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry are eligible to apply online till 9 November 2026, 5:00 PM.

NLC India Apprentice Recruitment 2026 – Overview

Trade (ITI) Apprentice – Post-wise Vacancy (700 Slots)

Graduate (Non-Engineering) Apprentice – Post-wise Vacancy (367 Slots)

Graduate (Non-Engineering) apprentices get a monthly stipend of Rs. 14,174 to Rs. 16,678, of which Rs. 6,150 is paid by the Government under the DBT scheme. Training duration for both Trade and Graduate apprentices is 12 months.

Eligibility Criteria

• Trade (ITI) Apprentice: A pass in ITI in the relevant trade from a recognised institute.
• Graduate (Non-Engineering) Apprentice: Regular full-time Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline from a UGC-approved university.
• Graduate candidates should have passed the qualifying examination in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026 (year-of-passing condition is not applicable to ITI-passed candidates).
• Candidates must not have previously undergone or be currently undergoing NAPS/NATS or PM Intern Scheme apprenticeship at NLC India Limited or elsewhere.
• Only candidates hailing from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry are eligible to apply.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years as per the Apprentices Act, 1961, Sec 3(a) – must be completed on or before 31 October 2026.
• Reservation and age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/EWS/PwBD candidates will be provided as per the Apprentices Act.
