ONGC Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has released Advertisement No. ONGC/APPR/1/2026 for engagement of 3,047 Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 across its Northern, Mumbai, Western, Eastern, Southern and Central sectors. Online applications through NAPS/NATS portals start 29 October 2026 and close on 20 November 2026.

Sector-wise Vacancy Details

Trade-wise and work-centre-wise seat distribution across all 24 work centres is available in the official advertisement (Section A). Candidates should check vacancies for their eligible district under Annexure 1 before applying.

Eligibility Criteria

• Trade Apprentices: ITI certificate in the relevant trade (Electrician, Fitter, Welder etc.)
• Library Assistant: 10th class pass
• Secretarial Office Assistant: Any graduate
• Accounts Executive: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce
• Executive Apprentices: Engineering diploma/degree, BBA (HR) or B.Sc. Chemistry (Lab Chemist) as applicable

Age Limit: 18 to 24 years as on 29.11.2026 (born between 29.11.2002 and 29.11.2008). Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL, 10 years for PwBD (15 years for PwBD SC/ST, 13 years for PwBD OBC-NCL).

Eligible Candidates: Applicants must be residents of, or hold their qualification from, an eligible district for the chosen work centre, must not have already completed an apprenticeship, and must not have completed three years since passing the qualifying exam as of 29.11.2026.

Selection Process

1. Applications downloaded and consolidated from NAPS and NATS portals
2. Scrutiny of applications for eligibility
3. Provisional merit list prepared trade-wise, work-centre-wise on qualifying marks
4. Document verification of shortlisted candidates
5. Final merit list after verification, applying reservation rules
6. Result published on ONGC apprenticeship portal and emailed to candidates (15 December 2026)

1. Visit the NAPS portal (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) or NATS portal (nats.education.gov.in)
2. Register/login and search for ONGC apprentice openings under the relevant work centre
3. Fill the application form with personal, educational and trade details
4. Upload scanned photograph, signature and required documents
5. Submit the form before the closing date – 20 November 2026
6. Keep a printout of the submitted application for future reference
