IREL Tradesman Trainee Recruitment 2026: IREL (India) Limited, a Mini Ratna PSU under the Department of Atomic Energy, has released Advt. No. CO/HRM/36/2026 for 131 Tradesman Trainee posts in Fitter, Electrician, Instrumentation and Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) trades. Online registration is open from 24 October 2026 (10:00 AM) to 13 November 2026 (6:00 PM) (revised) on irel.co.in. ITI/NAC holders with two years of trade experience can apply.

Selected candidates get a stipend of Rs. 34,200 per month during one year of training and are then absorbed as Tradesman in the W-3 grade (Rs. 22,000 – 88,000). Posts are spread across OSCOM (Odisha), Chavara and Aluva (Kerala), Manavalakurichi (Tamil Nadu), Visakhapatnam and Bhopal units.

IREL Tradesman Trainee Recruitment 2026 Eligibility

• Fitter / Electrician / Instrumentation: ITI/NAC in the respective trade + two years’ experience in that trade in a reputed industrial establishment (on-the-job/apprenticeship training counts). Electrician also needs a valid statutory licence.
• Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant): ITI/NAC in AOCP, or 12th Science with Chemistry and 50% aggregate marks + two years’ experience in chemical/process industry.
• Age: Maximum 35 years as on the closing date of applications, with relaxation as per rules.

Selection Process & Exam Pattern

• Written Test / CBT of 2 hours: Section I – 100 MCQs on trade knowledge; Section II – 50 MCQs on General Knowledge, Reasoning, Numerical Ability and English.
• 1 mark per question, no negative marking.
• Qualifying marks: 50% in each section (UR/EWS), 45% (SC/ST/OBC-NCL).
• Qualified candidates are called for a Trade Test / Skill Test in 1:5 ratio.
