SBI Chief AI Officer Recruitment 2026: State Bank of India has released Advertisement No. CRPD/SCO/2026-27/30 for engagement of 6 Specialist Cadre Officers on fixed term basis in AI and analytics – including GM & Chief AI Officer, three DGM posts, AI Solution Architect and Enterprise AI Architect. Educational Qualification

• GM & Chief AI Officer and DGM posts: B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication or equivalent / M.Sc (Statistics/Computer Science) / MA (Statistics) / M.Stat / MCA from a recognised university. MBA/PGDM (Finance) and ML/AI/NLP certifications are preferred.
• AI Solution Architect: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, AI, Business Administration, Management or related discipline.
• Enterprise AI Architect: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Data Science, AI or equivalent.

Work Experience Required

• GM & Chief AI Officer: Minimum 15 years in Banking/BFSI/IT sector, including at least 3 years of senior leadership in AI, analytics, model oversight, governance and business transformation.
• DGM posts: Minimum 10 years in Banking/BFSI/IT sector, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership role in the relevant area (risk analytics, AI governance, or data engineering/MLOps).
• AI Solution Architect: Minimum 8 years overall, including at least 3 years in AI/analytics solutioning, digital transformation or solution architecture.
• Enterprise AI Architect: Minimum 8 years overall technology experience, including at least 3 years in enterprise, platform, data or AI architecture.
• Training and teaching experience is not counted.

Selection Process

Selection is through shortlisting followed by interview (100 marks) and CTC negotiation. For the GM and DGM posts, the interview includes a 10-minute presentation on the candidate’s job profile or projects. The merit list is prepared on interview marks only. A candidate can apply for only one post.
